Elegant, Elegant, Elegant
Dining in the wine cellar was an absolute dream, surrounded by an impressive collection of wines and serenaded by live piano music. The indulgent spa treatments left me feeling rejuvenated and pampered, an absolute must-try! Strolling through the beautifully landscaped gardens was like stepping into a fairytale, perfect for those Insta-worthy moments!

Exceptional Staff and Beautiful Gardens
I recently enjoyed a night’s stay in a Classic Room, and I must say the gardens were absolutely stunning, perfect for a leisurely walk and some lovely photos. The restaurant in the cellar provided a unique dining experience with exceptional culinary delights, truly elevating my stay. The staff were particularly fantastic. they made me feel welcomed and ensured I had everything I needed. If anything could be improved, it would be the speed of service during breakfast, which could be a bit slow.

The breakfast experience left much to be desired, with poorly prepared dishes and a very limited selection that didn’t meet the expectations one would associate with a five-star destination. There were also significant delays in service, particularly during peak dining hours, leaving us waiting far too long for our meals—a bit frustrating after anticipating a relaxing night away. the so-called spa lacks basic facilities, offering only treatment rooms without any pool or sauna, thus missing the mark for a true wellness getaway. This indicates a need for improvement in both dining quality and recreational amenities. I came looking for a luxe retreat, not just the pretty views.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hillbark. The classic room was cozy and had nice facilities. The stunning gardens made for perfect photo opportunities. Gary and Jill at reception were fantastic. they really made me feel welcomed. an older staff member seemed unwelcoming, making me feel out of place. It was uncomfortable to be interrogated about personal matters during my stay. This staff behavior really dampened the overall vibe. I appreciated the scenic surroundings and the level of service from most of the team, but a more consistent approach to guest interaction would enhance the experience.

Classic Room had a cozy design with plush furnishings and unique art pieces that added character. The afternoon tea selection offered a delightful variety of sandwiches and cakes, nicely presented and perfect for the occasion.
During my stay, the sense of exclusivity felt unwelcoming. there was a distinct atmosphere that made me uncomfortable, particularly with the unusual level of personal inquiries about finances. while enjoying the tea, some of the decor in the reception area didn’t reflect the upscale vibe I expected—certain artwork came off as distasteful for the occasion, which could deter families or guests seeking a refined experience.
